Ups and Downs

My b'day was last week on the 24th of October.  I had an absolutely wonderful day.  Everyone spoiled me so much.  I received so many fantastic gifts, and went bowling again.  Not only did I actually score 101 on one of the games but the bowling alley people let me bowl for free that day.  The family decorated the house while I was sleeping and even decorated my computer area.

The weekend following my birthday we had an impressive windstorm.  It had rained the full week before so every thing was nice and sodden and weak.  Sunday the wind really ramped up and one of our trees fell over.

It landed on our house.

Thankfully, there was very little damage.  We have to replace our gutter and that's it, I think.  But still...there was a tree on my house for over a week!  Apparently trees all over the area had fallen victim to the wind.  We were originally told we might have to wait 4 weeks for them to take care of the tree so were were actually lucky that they did come when they did.

Oh... and I have to say- in reference to your "about me" section; I had an ex-boyfriend whose friends called him "Loaf". Really. Isn't that terrible?! Ha ha!
